Brake Fault warning (abs) light on Renault Scenic II after new brake discs and pads
Hi all, I am very new to this, so please bear with me if I'm not very 'technical' with the details.
I had new back brake discs and pads (both sides) fitted to my 2003 Renault Scenic II in January this year.
The back bearings were recently getting quite loud so took it back to the garage to find out whats up with them.
I was told the brake disc, pads and bearings come as 1, so they replaced the whole lot again (free of charge) as they were under warranty.
Since this had been re-done, once you reach around 50mph in it, the dash bleeps at you and the 'brake fault' warning message appears, abs, handbrake and service light come. I took it back to the garage where they have spent a week looking at it and testing sensors etc. But all fine???
Once the engine has stopped and then restarted the warnings disappear until you reach 50mph again.
The car works absolutely fine, just this warning.....and ideas as to what is happening.
Got to take it back to garage once they have had their diagnositics machine upgraded (they kept getting a mobile guy out).
Currently in mandyche's garage:
