Question 54 Plate Clio 1.2 Change rear wheel bearing

Hi, I need to change the rear wheel bearing on my brothers clio.
I'm just wondering if it's going to be possible at home.

Last time I did a wheel bearing it was on an old Corsa. It was a case of using a hammer and chisel/punch to get the old casing out and then gradually tapping the new one in.

Is that possible with these on the Clios?

Re: 54 Plate Clio 1.2 Change rear wheel bearing

The rear hub bearing a single unit and is a press interference fit. Ideally it should be removed and replaced us an hydraulic press. Hammering is likely to damage the new bearing.
