Draining brake fluid

I want to drain the brake fluid on my 04 scenic 1.5dci
As the reservoir is shared with the clutch will draining the brake fluid affect my clutch? If so how do i change the brake fluid without having to bleed the clutch afterwards

Re: Draining brake fluid

There are a few ways

1 Purchase a pressure bleeder.

2 , With someone in the car depressing the brake pedal whilst you open the bleed nipple on each wheel whilst keeping an eye on the reservoir not letting it go empty. With the fluid being bled into a clear bottle keep bleeding around the wheels until clear fluid is seen in the bottle.

If you don't press the clutch pedal then you should be OK but you must ensure that the reservoir never completely empties.
