Two ABS rings corroded on 2003 Clio, need replacing?

Had an ABS light on my 2003 Clio so took it in to a garage, they said the reason for the light was because two ABS rings were corroded and needed replacing (which means two new driveshafts). Is this an urgent matter would you say? What would be the consequence if any of not replacing them?

No need to replace the driveshafts.

New reluctior rings can be fitted to the existing shafts. Check out the link below.

If the rings are cracked or loose it can cause the ABS system to become erratic not what you would want to happen in an emergency.

In the interests of safety I would suggest you get it fixed ASAP. Brakes are like your best friends - you miss them most when they ain't there.
