scenic rx4 sprt alize rear shocks problem

hi and advanced thanx for any help given.
ok so my rear shocks are nackerd so i ordered new ones but when they came they had a top eye and the bottom eye was more of a long tube (bolt sleeve)
now when i removed the old shocks the bottom eye (bolt sleeve) appears to be "stuck" or already part of the car ive whacked it with a 32 pound hammer a couple of times no movement. soaked the whole area in penetrating oil over night and used old masher again but no luck is it in fact attached to the car or is it supposed to come of and just welded itself with age
do i just need to take the angle grinder to it
lots of help please really stressing me out what started as an easy job lol.
