Clio Mk2 Rear Hub Nuts

Just putting new hub nut onto the good lady's car after checking the state of the rear shoes and noticed that the new nyloc nut has no flange at the rear. The old one did. Looking on EBay seems some have a flange/washer type rear face and some are just standard nyloc nuts.

Does it make any difference which one you use (as it mates on to a non moving surface)?

I have exactly the same query for my 2001 megane 1.9 dci

I ordered new ones, and they have no flange, but the old ones do.

I hope someone replies soon as it's up on axle stands!

Are they genuine Renault items?

No they're not from Renault, I got them from "J and R CV Joints", they replied to my email saying that it was OK, but I'm not entirely convinced.

Only use genuine Renault nuts.

Sometimes they are listed on ebay, around £10 a pair posted.

I'll look the part number up if you want it.

If your stranded i'd use the old nuts but apply some thread lock, tighten up to the correct torque.

i just opened a rear drum to check the shoes - all ok - but what is the correct torque for the rear hub nuts ???
