Re: Overheating brakes
Make sure you have the correct grade of brake fluid,some types don't mix, but if you're doing a full change just make sure everything is flushed through completely. Unless you are using a self-bleed kit this job is usually a two-person one, and it helps if they are someone who will follow your instructions properly otherwise their actions could draw air back into the system (eg lift foot off the brake pedal before you've tightened the bleed nipple).
Remove the brake resevoir cap before winding the caliper pistons back in (you might need a kit for this too as I understand Renault pistons have to be rotated back for some reason).
If your doing big journeys you might be better off with Renault pads as aftermarket ones may suffer from brake fade at lower operating temperatures.
Might pay to ask your local friendly garage (not fast fit centres unless you want to) how much the job would cost for them to do.
With you having to buy the parts at normal retail prices the garage quote may be quite close and it'll save you a couple of hours work and the hassle of getting all the bits.
