I am no expert when it comes to cars and mechanics, so would appreciate any help.

I have had my car from new and every winter when I go to start my car the rear drivers brake freezes and as I try to reverse it the suspension raises. I have taken it into the garage numerous times and been told that it is a build up of grit and dirt, at the same garage on a seperate occasion I was also told that it was water on the brakes and the brakes were allegedly changed but I am still experiencing problems. Any other suggestions, or anyone else experienced similar problems???

This is something that has been raised a few times. If you park the car with the handbrake on it is possible, if it's cold enough, that the brakes will stick to the drum. You can try not applying the handbrake at night and leaving the car in gear. Just remember you have done this when you start in the morning, otherwise....

I seem to be experiencing the mentioned problem myself at the moment...

Is there any reason why it appears to happen to the NSR and not the OSR?

A few months ago my garage replaced 2 rear brake cylinders...perhaps related to this problem? Although the problem has occurred before and after this was done!
