Re: Renault Laguna Mk1 Rear Shock Absorber Technical Question?
In reply to 'Renoir White'
The old shocks seemed longer but then they were completely worn out too. So a bit hard to judge. The old shocks were Renault ones... probably original. The new ones are Monroe Original, non-adjustable shocks. Model number: 52024. The car is even on the suspension, and handles great, just seems really low. I jacked the car up on the Jack point... not the axle.

It has a Torsion bar rear suspension. I did wonder this if it might be that they've worn out too because of the heavy loads i carry and that the old shocks were knackered. So the torsion bar was doing extra work.
I did adjust the ride height of my old Renault Clio 1.4 RT by re-leasing the torsion bar out and using a small jack to support the hub and either raise or lower the ride height before putting the torsion bar back in.
I did wonder whether do to this instead to fix the ride height issue???
