piston wont retrack

putting in new rear brake pads on my laguna 2004
One side ok
Manual states turn the piston clockwise and push in at the same time, also undo the bleed nipple
this worked well one side but drivers side wont push back far enough,to get the new pads in
Any tips would be appreciated

Re: piston wont retrack

Sounds like you need a winding tool. Rear pistons need to wound back in,they auto adjust for the hand brake

Re: piston wont retrack

Did you disconnect the handbrake cable before attempting to retract the caliper piston?
