Re: Rear & front Discs & pad price differential

Have you tried EuroCarParts as they seem to be having a sale at present.

Recently we got my daughter a Clio as her first car so I thought I would give it a wee service before she was let loose on public roads.
Vented discs x 2 , set of pads , 5L of semi synthetic oil , oil filter , air filter , set of plugs , engine flush - all for 69 total .

if you do, I highly advise you stay away from their cheap eicher range.

It is bottom of the range to get people out of trouble on a tight budget.

But because of the price, don't expect quality, they wont last very long and may not work as well as better quality parts.

Pagid is a brand licenced by Euro Car Parts, but its basically rebranded Textar stuff and Textar are a good brand who supply lots of German manufacturers OE stuff from new.

Re: Rear & front Discs & pad price differential

As advised have a look on ebay, you will find named brands (Apec, Mintex, Bremco, etc,) at good prices. Euro Car Parts sell on there also and often there prices are cheaper through ebay.

The only thing with using ebay is you need to know what's fitted to your car, for example there may be two disc sizes listed for your car!

Also don't rule out the dealers, sometimes you get a nice shock at their prices for certain things.

Re: Rear & front Discs & pad price differential

eurocarparts or misterauto will give you a good idea for parts bosch front discs (vented) smallest diameter in range were 65 euro a pair .
rear discs 90 euro each..
As Noel and others have mentioned ,on mine the front disc is just that ,the rear is more of a hub unit.

Currently in coup's garage:
