99 Kango rear brakes

I drive a 99 registered kangoo and frankly find the braking appaling.
I put this down to the fact the rear braking is provided by drums
I'm aware later models are disc's all round.
Has anyone either

A. changed the hub's to accomodate disc's (is this even possible ?)

B. changed the complete axle.

I know this may sound a little exterme but i'm just looking at the options. other than the braking i find it to be a superb vehicle for it's intended use .
Your's hopefully

As the front brakes on most vehicles do most of the braking (75%) it may be better to upgrade the fronts rather than the rear - apart from changing the rear axle there is the handbrake mechanism, pipework, master cylinder, etc. Have you checked the condition of the calipers and wheel cylinders - also is the servo working correctly
I have heard of cases where the front pads become seized in their carriers - also when was the brake fluid last changed
Currently in madnoel10's garage:
