It should auto adjust. I would set it so the cable inners are as long as possible (i.e Brakes off). But not so that the screw is jammed at the end. Screw it fully out, so to speak, then back it off a turn, or until any microswitch if present, just clicks. You may need to have a diagnostic reset done after this. Plenty of threads on EPB's, I've been involved in most of the recent ones.
