Question 2010 Grand Scenic Handbrake

Hi All!!

I'm back in the murky world of Renault ownership & have just had my first big bill with my 2010 1.5DCi Grand Scenic...

Have had the clutch, flywheel & slave replaced and now it looks like the auto handbrake isn't releasing on hill starts.

Could this be something to do with the new biting point of the clutch? A sensor or something?

I haven't driven it much since getting it back & am currently working away but the Missus has filled me in with the problem!!

Before anyone says.... I have used the search facility of this fine forum, but haven't found any real answers

Re: 2010 Grand Scenic Handbrake

there was another question just like yours the other day.

I suspect that you are correct and the new clutch has a slightly different biting point and that's why it's not releasing.

I think that maybe the biting point / release point will need to be programed into the control unit.

What a cash cow these electronic hand brakes are
