04 Scenic Servo-Booster

We have an 04 Scenic 1.9DCi that has developed a problem with the brakes. Initially they seem to work fine but the pedal travel seems to decrease each time to the point of the there being no pedal travel at all and it takes immense pressure to get the car to stop. Have noticed the Woosh noise coming from behind the passenger side of the dashboard some am assuming a new booster/servo is needed? Bit of a search has come up with new one at 355 supply only, are they easy enough to replace. Is there anything else it could be?

Try the tests at this site.... See what results you get.

You could have a leak in the pipework from the vacuum pump to the servo, or maybe the vacuum pump isn't working correctly.

As it's a brake issue you need to have this looked at ASAP for safety's sake.
