Some things are hard to prove eg the tyres might be shot on the car today but when it went in for MOT the owner could have fitted a different set of wheels with decent tyres and changed them back afterwards. The MOT is only an assessment of the vehicle at the time it was presented for MOT, any deterioration in the vehicles condition afterwards is a matter of conjecture.

Don't take without giving in return
