Re: Laguna II won't start - ABS warning
Here we go again..
I took the car to the garage on Friday to see if they had the necessary device to reset the handbrake error, and to ask them to check for any errors in the ECU. They have the tools, but couldn't help me until the middle of this week, after a long chat about what I'd done he felt it was more likely to be the battery that was causing the issues.
As I needed the car on Sunday, I couldn't wait until midweek for them to be able to perform 'drop tests' on it (whatever they are) so I decided to take the risk and just buy a new battery. All was fine Friday, Saturday and Sunday (although it still wasn't starting as smoothly as it did before...it kinda hesitates just before it fires)...then this morning, got in it to drive to work...it started...I started to reverse...and before I'd got out of the drive the engine cut out, and now refuses to start again!!!
So...I'm back in the other half's car again today, safe in the knowledge that I've wasted £80 on a new battery!
