Simple common sense advice, I know, but you would be surprised how many people assemble parts dry.

Cheers.
Behave, giving all these tips out, will be out of a job

I'm hoping the tips eventually get back to some of the garages around here, as most of the cars I've seen have never had it done.

Disc retaining screws put in dry is my pet hate

Cheers.

Guilty as charged, never thought of it,
But will try and do better.
Usually, hit with the tool, be it torq or philips, slight tighten, then undo.

*TTT: Thanks for the tip, I always do. I'll probably waxoil the new pipes as well

Bought it at 159 000 miles, currently at 205 000. Perhaps it'll live to see 250 000...?

Re: Laguna II handbrake cable stuck to caliper?

Everything I put back together gets greased or Oiled, probably over the top a bit but it's nice to know it will be easy to get things apart again.
