Re: clio authentique, problem fitting brake shoes
i tried putting the hub on, it didnt fit well, couldnt really get it on, tried to remove the hub and pulled the bearings apart. i am getting annoyed with this now. the inside of the bearing has two rings and the inside ring is now stuck on the stub axle. i am looking on ebay to buy a puller to get it off as i cannot remove it.
i am thinking about getting a mobile mechanic to come and take a look. any know what it may cost?
i am going to get a puller off ebay, hopefully this will remove the ring from the stub axle. i am going to "pop" it back in by hand, (would this be ok?)
after that i think i will ask a mech to fit the hub and sort the brakes on both sides. i think that if i remove the hub on the other side that may make the process easier.
so, to fit the brakes on both sides and replace both hubs, fix the functioning of the brakes. what would this cost? just a guess would do.
