Soft brakes/clutch

hi everyone, hope you can help, i dont have much knowhow or experience with renos

i recently got my first reno Megane mk2 - moved from VW.

changed the clutch cylinder on the megane and also changed the brake disks and pads (front).

Bleed the clutch ( which was strange i must admit) and there was no need to bleed the brakes as i pushed in the caliper (nothing was opened).

Now the brake pad is really soft, it does get harder when pressed a few times but than goes back to being soft. also the abs plug was disconnected - which i managed to reconnect - until i find a fix as i did not place the clip on the ball joint (forgot it out - until i change the suspension arm).

the clutch also feels like it may be slipping a bit as the car vibrates or reves for a bit before the gear fully kicks in.

so am i right i thinking that i need to further bleed the clutch

bleed the breaks

this was all due to the ABS being disconnected?

Re: Soft brakes/clutch

Yes to brakes
For some reason on my Scenic, whatever pads I've done, had to bleed the brakes afterwards.
Clutch could be still air in it and could give those symptoms. Not slipping as such as not releasing cleanly
