Re: Do these brakes look done?

Might be out of pocket on the brakes but at least they're brand new I guess. Wouldn't really have trusted him to replace them!

Thanks for the advice, I'll definitely argue the ABS issue

Re: Do these brakes look done?

With cars generally you get what you pay for. If it costs 20000 you would expect it to be fault free however if it only cost 500 you cant expect it to be totally fault free and it is getting on in years... if you cant fix it yourself then you should look for a decent local small garage to help keep your older car running sweetly. by the way a local small garage would have examined the car for you on your test drive and saved you buying trouble.

Court rejects dealer's right to repair - Car Dealer Magazine

You have a LOT of rights when buying a car from a dealer / trader. Many try and get away with as much as they can as it is in their financial interest not to pay out and put stuff right. If you got the brakes sorted elsewhere you are within your rights to send the seller (if they are a trader) the bill - unless they have a "returns or repair" policy in their terms and conditions - read the above link about a 2,750 repair bill.
