2010 Megane III - EST-ABS Unit Faulty - DIY Job?

Has anyone replaced their EST-ABS unit? (Does EST just stand for Estate, or is this a specific part of the broader ABS system?)

Car is currently in at the main dealers as no local garages had the correct equipment to read ABS faults.

They've come back this morning and told us that the EST-ABS unit is faulty (Symptoms were ABS light on, stop sign on and spanner on).

Quoted 1328 fitted as it's a 4.5hr job, so a lot of labour costs in this.

Has anyone had this issue before? Has anyone done a DIY replacement? Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has had this issue and what your outcome was!

Many thanks

Nick

You could change it yourself but it will need to be programmed with clip and someone that has access to a rf clip dongle.

Would start a new thread with your problem ...but issue could be a few things most common being and abs wheel sensor
