Re: Grand scenic rear brakes binding

If the rear parking brake was on and the vehicle was moving it would trigger an error message more than likely just a good clean of the brake pads should free them up.

Re: Grand scenic rear brakes binding

Likely to be sticking cables.
Strip out and oil may help for MOT but on Grand Scenic, the official answer is replace handbrake unit as Renault do not supply cables alone.
There are now sellers on Ebay I think who sell aftermarket cables but how good they are, dunno.
Replacing cables is not beyond to average DIY BTW.
Can talk you through it if that is the way you want to go.
Currently in Dancingdad's garage:
Qashqai 1.6 spark driven, Kia Sedona 2.9 TDI, Scenic II 15DCi 2004 (SORN) not quite RIP.
