Exclamation serv light and abs light on

hi all I have recently changed the starting motor of my Renault scenic 03 plate bit of a nightmare having to remove drive shaft to get at it but anyway it was all put back together after a lengthy time but now the serv light and the abs light are on
funny thing is with the abs light on the brakes are fine but now and again the abs light goes off and I have got to stand on the brakes to stop
can anyone tell me if I missed anything while putting her back together please

Re: serv light and abs light on

Guess it was the Nearside shaft you removed.
Whichever it was, check the ABS sensor is clicked properly in place on the hub. I had one fall out after doing hub bearings.
Q. Does the ABS light initially extinguish, then come when you drive?
Or is it on immediately? If the latter it's wiring.
