hello,
my brother has a stuck rear right wheel. i have shook the wheel attached to the car, the bearings seem fine. i removed the wheel and drive shaft nut, took off the handbrake and the drum wont move. the car was driving the other day and then it stopped as though the handbrake was slammed on. then the car wouldnt move at all, as though the brake on the rear right was applied. i had to jump on the car a few times which seemed to shake it free. he drove the car home which seemed fine. i can not remove the drum and the wheel wont turn freely. even when i put the wheel back on and tightened the wheel nuts, the handbrake was off and the wheel still wouldnt turn with a two foot braker bar on the wheel nuts.
how can i get the hub off?
i have a puller but that is too small, my dad mentioned heating the drum with a blow torch which i am not doing!
i thought that maybe draining the fluid from the brakes or maybe getting under the car to loosen the handbrake cables but i think that the brake shoes have stuck to the inside of the drum.
any advice or help would be great!
thanks
simon
