Esapce 2007 Parking Brake fault wont reset

Hi, all. My Espace 2007 2.2Dci have been giving parking brake fault and switches the car off even while driving. I have to stop and the switch the van off and then start again. The ESP light comes on and off after/during this. I can drive for an hour and it will be fine then it can happen 4-5 times consecutively when driving. However, when I stop to park the car, everything works fine. Thank you in advance.

Re: Esapce 2007 Parking Brake fault wont reset

Sorry, it takes us awhile to understand at times what people mean.
The Engine shuts down ,,,, is that it,. As in dangerous to drive because the car just stops..

I remember the first time I saw a universal remote control, and I thought to myself.

"Well this changes everything

Hi. yes but with everything still on, then it will say start engine. the car will still roll though. I had the battery cables replaced and the lugs lookd dodgy(too big not proper contact). will have it sorted and revert back thank you.

Re: Esapce 2007 Parking Brake fault wont reset

Parking brake faults do not switch off/stop/shut down/engage limp mode.

I suspect there is something else happening that is causing error messages and the causing the thing to switch off.

Loose battery connection ?

Had the Battery cables replaced and really it looks dodgy. Too big for the battery terminal. Wil sort it out and get back to you. Thank so much.
