Boot Door

I went out to grab the Haynes manual for Tiggerz from my car only to find I couldn't open the boot... Strangely synchronus with the lock issues others on the forum hve been experiencing lately

I get the 'clunk' of the solenoid in the boot door when I press the button on the plip, and also, the button is depressable (wheras it's locked in the 'out' position when the car is locked) - if I press it, I get another 'clunk', which sounds normal to me, but I can't open the hatch...

Any ideas? Seems like it's unlocking OK, but the actual release mechanism on the latch is jammed...
