No joy with the wing mirror, when the sun is out I might get the screwdrivers on it, but for now, i'll live with it
A word of waring on the mirror if you start to dismantle...

There are two different ways that the mirror is attched to the back plate (the adustment yoke).

If you have the same as me you have to rotate a plastic locking ring behind the mirror to release it.

Some mirrors are just a push fit and are removed by just 'poping' off.

If you adjust the mirror so that it is pointing down then you should get to see the type fitted.

Obviously if you try to 'pop off' the first type you'll likely destroy it (as my local Renault dealer did with mine).
