I have Ranault Koleos, 2.0l, 4x4 dci , 2012 model. From last 15 days I am getting problem in car pick up,
And sudden rise in engine rpm. Today I got fault message "Emission Check" on display with a sign of spanner. What could be the reason and how much it will cost me to get it repaired? I have run this car only 36,00 km, most of the time car is in city run max 10 km.

My guess given low mileage would be Diesel Particulate Filter or EGR valve. Or both.

A reasonable length cruise down a motorway/Autobahn may be all it needs.
Holding 2000RPM plus for 20 minutes or so should allow the exhaust to get hot enough to trigger regeneration.
You may see smoke while this is happening, normal as soot is burnt off.
If not, a forced regen will be needed.

EGR may self clean with a run, may need cleaning or replacing.

A diagnostic would confirm if either or another reason.

Hello

Sorry if its not the correct place to post but i need some clarification
I have a renault scenic 52 plate and when my fan belt snapped it also snapped a wire my garage has said its to do with the evap system.
the ire i believe connects to a black cannister on the driver side near the front corner of the bonnet
i wanted to know what part or the name of the wire so i can obtain a replacement as the wire is it connected the the engine but isnt connected to anything else.

p.s my car has recently started to jerk now and again whilst driving is this due to the missing wire or another issue.
