An interesting thread.

I think all of us parents worry about what could happen, but we can all look back at things we've done in our past that children wouldn't be allowed to do now a days.

I can remember myself,my bother and my sister being carried around in the back of a Mini van as it was a cheap car and it was all my Mum and Dad could afford at the time.I look back and think just what could have happened if we'd ever had an accident in it......

One thing is for sure,a new super mini of any type will be much safer than the cars we all travelled around in as children, and although accidents will happen,we are all better protected now than we ever have been.

In most cases the bigger the car the better the chances of walking away from an accident, but until very recently the worst cars at protecting passengers were the Land Rover Freelender and Chrysler Voyager......I think I'd rather drive my son around in a Clio!.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
