An interesting aside.

When I took delivery of my 07 Scenic it had copious amounts of grease/lubrication round the bonnet catches/plunger etc as opposed to my 05 Scenic.

When my 07 Scenic went in for it's 18,000 mile service on return the Catches/Plungers etc were liberally covered in grease/lubricant my previous 05 Scenic had no lubrication applied to the bonnet locking/catches etc when it was returned from service.

Qute a number of Renault I have driven over the last year have had copius amounts of lubrication applied to all areas of the bonnet catch areas .

I have had cars from Renault ( New cars ) when pulling the internal bonnet release I have noticed quite a few do not spring back to their original position ? so sometings still not right in their production/design lines

Case of closing the door after the horse has bolted
