RX4 -- Rear shock absorber change

Hi All,

Quick question... I had a rear shock absorber changed by the garage I purchased my car from.

I've got an RX4 and the rear wheels appear to have some sort of felt like lining insise the rear wheel arches.

The garage cut through the felt lining when they changed the rear shock absorber.

Is this the way to change a rear shock absorber? The cut has not been secured. What should I do? Are the felt linings replaceable??

If more info is needed I can send a picture.

Advice would be most appreciated as I don't think the garage have done the right thing...
