Re: Twingo C01 drum brakes proportioning valve

If no valve fitted, then your master cylinder will be doing it..
Or, have you got two valves coming off your brake master cylinder, could just be below, and connected to the two brake pipes going to the back of the car...
Before you go hunting,, have you had any brake pipes replaced on your car, or wheel cylinders..

These valves are about 2 and 1/2 inch in length ..With a diameter of an inch,,,
Not saying they are fitted,,,
If its part of the master cylinder, then its just a new master cylinder needed.
Or you can take it apart, clean the inside, there should be two pistons, or pressure relief valves inside...
Most master cylinders will not come apart.. Unless the reservoir is removed.. There is usually a pin going through, holding the pistons in, as well as the e,clip/c.clip, that can be seen , where the push rod pushes on the piston.

Once stripped, you will find seals ,,, spring/springs, discs with holes in.
These need to go back in, so its carefully stripping down, .
Examine all parts,, clean all parts, rebuild...
It could just be down to a build up of dirty fluid,, this blocks the holes in the disc, so not enough fluid enters in to the rear pipes
Have given you the gist, of how to strip..
But if your seals are showing signs of wear.. The cost of these, and the time scale, waiting for them!!!! Its usually more prudent to replace with a new master cylinder....

I think, aesthetically, car design is so interesting - the dashboards, the steering wheels, and the beauty of the mechanics. I don't know how any of it works, I don't want to know,
