Avoid using the new type Bosch plug if at all possible.They have greatly reduced the amount of different plugs they produce and try and make one plug suitable for many applications.This hasn't worked,and recently I had problems with a Vauxhall Ecotec engine that we had fitted Bosch plugs to.Engine management systems are so sensitive these days that if the spark plugs are not the absolute right resistance then then the ECU thinks that the engine is misfiring.I would,as ide man says,only use genuine plugs.
As for using 15/40 oil in this engine,I'm not sure that is wise.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
