, then you can now use up to a certain amount per year without declaring it for duty. I forget the amount, but it's a generous allowance, meaning that most people who choose to run on veg
can do so all year round perfectly legally.
I think the government finally realised that
a) If people are going to do it, they can't stop them
b) The majority of diesel vehicles on the roads these days can't take neat veg oil anyway, so it's not going to hit DERV sales that badly.
It is 2000 litres I think. Anymore and you pay tax on it. There was a big article in Car Mechanics magazine last year. I will dig out the article and try and find the details that was in it.
I'm pretty sure I've seen bad environmental vibes about bio tonight, if you are bothered about that, try a Google, I don't recall the link, and not 100% sure of the facts
I seen something like this. Some scientist says it is worse for the environment than normal derv apparently, something like that.
