Have had my Laguna in for its service at my local (trusted!) garage, asked them if they could take the throttle body off and clean it, he said no problem as they have done this a few times and they also have the kit to re-program it.

They did this, but they said once the car was upto temp the idle became erratic again, they also said the throttle body was not dirty.

So outcome is, they recommended a new throttle body (this is what the Renault dealer said, nice to have a second opionion), which I agreed to and they are fitting it on Monday, with a bit of luck that will be the end of it.

So I've had it serviced, throttle body cleaned / replaced and also they are going to put it through its MOT .

All i can say is I'm glad its pay day on Monday.

I have a Jaguar X type diesel for the weekend, and I am already missing the Laguna (believe it or not).
