I have a 1999 Renault Clio 1.6i RXE that currently has the original manufacturers radio cassette fitted to it. I have the opportunity of replacing the radio cassette with a CD/radio from another 1999 Clio and was wondering if the dash diplay and stalk controls would work just the same?
I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has done this already, and if it was just a case of removing the original and plugging the replacement straight into the connectors already there and how long it took?

Cheers Guys

Hi there!

It should be a direct switch - no extra leads required.

All I did was remove my cassette unit, plugged the leads into the cd player (all plugs & leads should plug into the same area on the back of both units.

They do advise to disconnect the battery but I didn't!

Less than a 10min job!

Then all you have to do is enter the cd tuners code in using the steering wheel control and you should be ok!
