Yep my misses clio has the air bag light and the service indicator light lit. The dealer has quoted around 250 to get it sorted saying that some sort of computer component has gone. Is this the case or are they just giving me some bull and the bad connection repair under the passenger seat will sort it. I'd like to try the soldering thing but dont know if I've got the confidence and am afraid of setting the air bag off and having to pay a lot more to get it put right. Is there a risk with doing it my self? is it worth diconnecting the battery first and will i encouter any problems after taking the battery off? Does anyone know what the fault codes are for this fault? An independant garage had a look at it for me and said that the codes are not recognosed.
