Very few renault dealers actually do their own paintwork and guess who they use - my local Rivive agent gets 90% of his work from garage franchises.
My neighbout had a small altercation with a Renault Scenic whilst on the school run causing a small dent and scuff on the front bumper of another parents car. The quote from the Renault agent was 275 plus VAT - yet the local giuy was able to repair for 75 - whilst doing the work he admitted he probably would have got the job anyway as he had a contract with the renault agent. Job was done at the house and no time off the road. All at a saving of 200 plus and look at what the agent didn't make
What makes anyone think a renault agent can paint better than an independent needs their head read. Where I live no car agents whatsover have their own car body repair facilities - they just farm it out and put a hefty fee on top of the actual cost.
