Now, there were two distinct flavours of derv lumps in these Astra's, 1.7 GM low-blow and 1.7 Isuzu (the good 'un)
I know how to tell the difference by looking at the engines directly, but is there a difference in cylinder capacities between the two so I can save myself the trouble of going to look at a car only to discover its a low-blow GM unit?
I know the capacity of the Isuzu to be 1686cc, but I can't find the GM capacity anywhere. I've rung a couple of ads today and the dealers/private sellers all seem to say "err, its a 1.7
So, has any potential experts got an idea of any difference before I start trawling around looking at potential no-go's?
Cheers for any help
