You can always ask people on
that are breaking their car to check if they have the lock and the key and are willing to sell it.
Do you also have an orange light on the right side of your dials on all the time up to the point you start your engine?
Is your central locking working? Which key fob do you have? When you use central locking on the car using the key fob, this would activate the immo. If your key fob is not working, i guess that someone had a leaking sun roof that damaged the IR eye in the sunroof console. This means they couldn't operate the CL from the key fob and they completely deactivated the immo in order to start the engine. Do you have the CODE for the car in case the immo mulfunctions?
It's a pain procedure to identify the problem and would cost a lot of moneyinvestigating.
I would suggest that if the immo is not working, fit an aftermaket immobilizer ain a company that will provide a valid VSIB certificate.
