So If coolant was introduced to the other cylinders then the deposists on those would have also been washed out..

In this case the washed cylinder indicates the area where the combustion leak was, and has been proved by the damaged gasket at the cylinder 1 position.

Of course due to the high traffic levels now and poor public transport, increases in Town & Stop-Start driving will induce the carbon build up.
Remember the old days where regular "de-cokes" were required and the use of products like Redex.. ?? LOL
