Hi there Graham, glad to hear that you are still enjoying your car.

My manual also mentions this feature, but I don't think it was fitted to UK-spec cars (as they withdrew them from the UK market quite abruptly). The manuals usually have a disclaimer stating that some features are only available for certain markets (e.g. my 1980 Corolla's manual mentions air-conditioning which was only available in hotter climates).

It has probably been available in the French market for a few years now.
