Badly worn rear subframe bushes are known to cause excessive rear tyre wear and poor handling and will affect the rear ride height especially on the Tourers.
My mate had this problem on his Lag II Tourer after he noticed excessive wear to one side of his rear tyres and the occasional twitch when cornering. He was able to get a new set fitted for £150 and he says it drives like new. I think it is the extra weight of the Tourer which makes the problem more noticable as the additional weight is behind the rear axle area. Its definitely worth having them checked out by someone who knows what to look for
