I'm taking my CBT on Monday !
As it says, got my CBT on Monday, been trying to get a decent 125cc motorbike for under £800 but its proving hard, even on flea bay.
I want a harly looking bike, so far i've looked at:
Honda VT 125
Yamaha XVS 125
Yamaha Virago 125
all very very nice but too expensive, make way for the Jinluns. They look great, chinese import though so bad press but after a little research and a dabbel on their owners club site they seem ok build quality if maintained regularly, good value for money and an ok parts distribution.
Looks and sound a bigger bike which is what i'm looking to do. I'm gonna do my practical test hopefully before the new law kicks in October but I'm not doing an access couse because A its expensive and B I think its safer to have a 125 for 2 years and then move up, for what I want it'll do me as its my summer machine for little trips into town etc. My brother in law did an access couse and he went from no motorbike experiance to a R6 in a week, how scary is that !
I was going to do the 'cool' open face helmet look but then someone showed me a pic of a chap who hit the deck face first wearing one, not pleasent, full face it is now then !!
Wish me luck !!
