yeah thats the trim. the spring i mean is the one that forces the button out when you push it in. but you should be able to make sense of it once youve taken it out. i managed in about an hour (most of it spent looking of a spring).

i cant remember what else it could be though, as i only needed a new spring fitting. the button should push a white bit of plastic when unlocked, but if the spring has gone, the button may have been pushed in, whilst locked, and the plastic wont have been in place.

but as i said, you should be able to see how it works once youve taken it out.
