You can't reprogram Renault plips yourself
As far as I know, you need a new key/plip and a dealership to program it, and for that privilege you'll pay in the region of £130.
The procedure with the immobiliser button is only to re-sync a key that has either lost power for an extended period or been pressed more than 1000 times since the last activation.
