I take it your engine is the single overhead cam type with the bucket shims. Regardless of whether its single or double cam skimming should make no difference unless the valves are touching the pistons. Was the camshaft and followers removed before skimming. If the inlet manifold is drawing air the engine will run like a dog and the MAP sensor will read all wrong. Does the MAP sensor fit to the manifold or does it go into the engine manifold.
