I think it's some sort of clutch that detects when the motor is being slowed down / closed
do you know if it's a difficult job to change a motor?
Havent a clue to be honest, but I would suspect that the headlining would need to be pulled down to get access. It should'nt be too difficult. Not sure if a haynes manual would help.
I imagine that once you have access, it would be a case of unplugging the connector(s) and undoing the bolts and remove / refit. Thats how it looked on the Laguna 1 when I was contemplating changing the sunroof motor on that.
