Request of advice for Clio 1.2 RN cambelt change
I'm about to buy a Clio 1.2 RN 1999T (mileage 60,000) for 2,150. The trader now asks me if I want a cambelt change for 150 quids because the car has never had a cambelt change.
This is my first car so I know nothing about cars mechanically. Could anyone give me advice on this?
Original price for the car is 2,300, I managed to make it 2,150 but the trader surely wants to make a better deal for himself. When I test drove the car, the engine sounded fine. I googled some reviews saying the a cambelt break may damage some other things which can be very costly.
If I should have the cambelt change, what price is reasonable?
